Sometimes "czynnosc" is going to be "operation". I rely a lot on seeing people work with Latin texts, and that adage "operari sequitur esse" -- is probaly "czynnosc idzie za istnienie"
However, I think that these two words (in Polish) are almost interchangeable in many cases.
Sometimes I've translated either as "activity."
A lot of the way I translate depends on how I have seen words used in English texts in my philosophical education in America, and I match up the same philosophical ideas in Polish.
