NAOCZNOŚĆ
The sentence … prowadził badania nad formami naoczności czasu i przestrzeni …. The term “naoczność” could perhaps be rendered by “evidence”, but the only connection is etymological, from “videre”, “to see”. I think this means, “he did research on the ways that time and space appear to us”. Is “naoczność” one of those words that only philosophers use in order to be difficult? Does it appear, as a noun that is, in normal everyday discourse? It is not in my dictionary, although “naoczny’ is. And “naoczny” is one of those words that can translated as a phrase or part of phrase, so how can we make a single English adjective out of it?

I think "evidence" is the best way forward. This came up in my last text, I think.
But Słownik terminów i pojęc filozoficznych has as equivalents and translations:
oglądowość, dawniej poglądowość, gr. enargeia, ang. conceivable (!), fr. intuition empirique, nm. Anschauung.
Very useful book, but its translations are not reliable, unfortunately. Anschauung is intuition in some places. You'd think it would be Anschauungskeit or something at least! The French doesn't seem to match either, does it?

Husserl postulował, ażeby treści nienaoczne aktów poznawczych znajdowały naoczne wypełnienie danymi doświadczenia.
The thing I was doing was some straight metaphysics (or about straight metaphysics), and I'm sure "evidence" was right there.
"you'd think in this case it would be Anschauungskeit or something" - not for "intuition".
